The New Zealand Statistical Association (NZSA) and the Operations Research Society of New Zealand (ORSNZ) are holding a joint conference hosted by Massey University in 2018, from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 November.  Harmonic is pleased to continue our tradition of sponsoring the NZSA prize for 'the Best Student Presentation' This year we are also sponsoring the ORSNZ dinner.

Ari Angelo, Senior Data Scientist at Harmonic, is a judge for the ORSNZ Young Practitoners' Prize. The award is judged by industry leaders and academics.

Ari has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Engineering Science from the University of Auckland. A critical and analytical thinker, Ari applies methods from a broad range of computational and mathematical skill sets to solve business challenges. He uses in a range of statistical modelling approaches, operations research methodology, optimisation algorithms and simulations.

Ari is particularly interested in developing engineering solutions to solve problems and presenting the results in a meaningful way.
