Data Science Team Development

Our experience using R in real business application means we are ideally placed to show you how to get optimum value from R, selecting the right tools for your specific needs.

We use R daily for visualisation, data summarisation, data mining, analytical modelling and operations research techniques.

Introduction to R

An Introduction to R is taught by our Data Scientists who are experienced in using R in business application daily.

Important Information

  • For Teams of 3 or more.
  • We recommend spreading the course over 1.5 days.

Course Overview

This instructor-led course is designed to give learners a comprehensive overview of R software for statistical analysis. Attendees will create a strong foundation from which to build upon.

Course Level

The course is for analysts with little or no experience with R software, who would like to learn the basics of R and build a strong foundation for further application. Anyone who analyses data as part of their role, could benefit from this course.

Course Outcomes

At the end of the course, you will be able to navigate your way around the R console, load/write data to and from R, create simple R programs, use a variety of tools to manipulate data in R, and generate basic data summaries and graphics for data analysis. Training documentation is provided.

Data Analysis in R

An Introduction to Data Analysis in R is our next level course. Course content is designed and taught by our Statisticians who are experienced in using R in business application daily.

Important Information

  • For Teams of 3 or more.
  • We recommend spreading the course over 1.5 days.

* Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this course however to successfully understand the content and complete the activities it is expected that attendees will have a basic understanding of R and statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis.

Course Overview

This instructor-led course is designed to give learners a comprehensive overview of the data analysis and visualisation techniques available in R. Attendees will be able to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), statistical hypothesis tests and regression modelling in R.

Course Level

The course is designed for data analysts who have had some exposure to R but would like to extend their knowledge with respect to conducting their analyses using R software.

Course Outcomes

At the conclusion of the course, attendees will have the tools to summarise and visualise both quantitative and qualitative data, utilise a range of visualisation techniques available in R and be able to perform statistical hypothesis tests and build regression models in R.
